Kirby Beard and co (att. to)Very elegant mahogany marine desk with drawers, decorated with a viscount crown. 72X15X30.19th c. The house Kirby Beard and co was founded in 1743 in Gloucester in Great Britain, this very prosperous company became the manufacturer of prestigious pieces of jewellery. A bourgeois and aristocratic clientele sought the name of Kirby Beard specialized in watches, clocks, desks and bar, car and travel accessories, razors sought by the amateurs. It had a shop in London and in France in Paris at 5, rue Auber. The factory, which moved to Birmingham in 1853, was unfortunately destroyed by bombing during the Second World War.
