Desk CLOCK, composed of two blocks of zoïsite, a winding mechanism on the top, a dial with a vermeil background partially guilloched in the center, indexes with a railway, Arabic numerals and luminescent hands, Swiss-made 8-day mechanical movement, from the Goering Watch Co (created in 1848 in La Chaux-de-Fonds). The clock is decorated on all sides with rich vermeil decorations of sphinxes, sceptres, laurel wreaths, flowers, foliage and trimmings adorned with two sapphire cabochons, a chased frieze applied to the damping. It stands on four vermeil lion feet. Russian work for the American market, circa 1920.
