JAPAN, circa 1900. Tripod incense burner with relief decoration of birds on flowering branches. Two high and flared handles are decorated with meanders. A frieze of characters decorates the neck. The lid is decorated with foliage and is topped by a Pho lion in relief, one paw resting on its ball. The incised flower decoration inside the incense burner. Bronze with a red-brown patina. Height: 44 cm. Width of the handles: 29 cm. Restoration to the foot
