Beautiful sculpture representing the Buddha Jizo Bosatsu (Ksitigharba in Sanskrit) in the role of an itinerant monk. In the Kamakura style of the 12th/13th century, he is depicted standing, holding in his right hand a stick with six sound rings announcing his coming. He is depicted standing on a base carved with a double row of lotus petals resting on rocks.
