We would like to thank Montres BREGUET SA and
Mrs Seyena AHONYO, its archivist, for having researched this watch in their old sales books, where it is described as follows: "Simple watch with 19-line winding mechanism, gold case, half-bassin, enamel dial, gold hands, second hand, gold bowl. Anchor escapement, compensating balance, ruby holes and lifts. Made in 1898." "Sold on April 28, 1898 to [Monsieur] Joliot for the sum of 500 francs."
The date of May 18, 1898, engraved on the inside of the lid, and the figure A.J., stamped on the lid of the case, confirm the indications in these books.
