A chronological summary of the principal events which preceded and followed the Unigenitus Constitution, which gave rise to it, or which are its consequences. With the IC proposals of Fr. Quesnel compared with Scripture and Tradition. New edition, revised, corrected and increased. S. l., 1732. 1 vol. in-12. Tan calf, gilt arms in the centre of the boards, cold fillet, spine decorated with gilt numeral, fawn calf title-piece. The work is illustrated with 12 plates with illustrations and texts engraved in intaglio. Second edition, revised, corrected and enlarged. The original edition was published in 1730 in Utrecht by Le Fèvre. The last part consists of a text by François Laurent Boursier: Explication abrégée des principales questions qui ont rapport aux affaires présentes, par demandes et par réponses, ou par forme d'entretien, entre un ecclésiastique & un laïc. This text is preceded by a title page dated 1731. Pages 67 to 78 of this last section are unfortunately missing. A copy with the arms of Charles de Saint-Albin (1698-1764), son of Philippe d'Orléans, regent of France. He was also a doctor of theology at the Faculty of Paris, bishop of Laon (1720) and archbishop of Cambrai (1723). Victor Foucher's engraved armorial bookplate with his motto "Per ardua gradior".
