DJIMINI FISH HUNTER, Ivory Coast Wood with dark brown and black patina. H. 45 cm Rare Djimini fly-hunting socket carved with two Janus busts. The smaller female face is adorned with a neat headdress, hidden on the other side by the large horns on the male face. Scarifications mark the faces as well as the bodies, with full details. The object is still largely covered with black paint.
