Small mokugyo in natural wood. On the reverse side, the first verse of the heart sutra. Dated Showa 15 (1940) at 68 years old. Sashi netsuke in bamboo decorated with a poem in homage to the soldiers crossing the sea, ojime in the shape of mokugyo.
