François de Salignac de La Mothe-Fénelon (1651-1715), archbishop of Cambrai, tutor to the Duke of Burgundy and writer.
Portrait of Fénelon after the model created in 1718 by Claude Bailleul, one of Hyacinthe Rigaud's most active assistants, the original of which is kept in the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Périgueux under inventory number 75-1. Another version, made by Antoine Taisne (1692-1750), is kept in the museum of Cambrai.
