Louis XVI style mantel
Arched lintel adorned with a median cartouche representing a pan flute flanked by flowers and branches of laurel finely carved: the veins of the leaves as well as the relief of the branches reflect a naturalist taste that was very popular under Louis XVI. A frieze of pearls frames the lintel.
The console jambs, topped with openwork rosettes, are decorated with scrolls, acanthus leaves and pearl friezes that continue up to the hooves.
