Painter and poster artist for the cinema (La Dolce Vita, La Femme et le Pantin, Don Camillo Monseigneur, Goldfinger), Yves Thos made a name for himself from 1967 onwards through his collaboration with the weekly magazine Pilote and the covers he drew for the albums of Redbeard, Tanguy et Laverdure and Bob Morane. His fiery paste, his coloured palette and his atmospheric perspectives definitely marked the "Demon of the Caribbean" series.
