In this key sequence of the album The Man Who Was Worth $500,000, while captured in the fortress of Corvado, Blueberry and the Southern colonel Trevor meet their Chinese executioner Chang-Li whose mission is to get information about the hiding place of the Confederate gold. In the process, Blueberry discovers the nature of the relationship between Chihuahua Pearl and Trevor. Here we can admire all the qualities of this great classic of western comics: a perfect montage between the storming of Corvado and the delicate situation in which our heroes find themselves. We will appreciate in particular the play of the faces of the two tortured men exchanging confidences at the threshold of death. Masterpiece !
