Another Parisian scene from The Flight of the Raven, with Jeanne and her red beret. We find again the particularly studied physiognomies that convey all the interiority of the characters. This time, Jeanne is in complicity with the spectator. The scene is extremely narrative. Around the heroine, conversations flow in a carefree manner. Not far away, in her green jacket, we recognize Jeanne's sister, Cécile, the heroine of Le Sursis. But in the background, we see the threatening figures of the Gestapo enter the establishment. You want to shout to Jeanne: "Hey, watch out! "Genius of detail and emotion. Gibrat: "Truffaut used to say that everything shown in the cinema is love. Even if you have a war film that shows the jungle, there is love for this jungle. That's why the setting has a primary role in the story, it gives it credibility. »
