LOULOU (Louise Tournay, known as). "Head". Sculpture in terracotta. Dim. support and subject : 24 x 11 x 10 cm. After having spent part of her life caring for the sick, Loulou (1925-2010) wrote a book on psychological trauma and its influence on the treatment of cancer. Emile Lavallée, her husband, introduced her to classical music, which inspired Loulou to create imaginary ballets, texts and sculptures. It is through a course of carricature of Léon Rémy, that she manages to read the signs of the human face and launches out in the realization of small sculptures in terra cotta. She stages a whole people of characters inspired by her childhood, then will be inspired by various facts to feed her work. Her work appears in the Collection de l'Art Brut created by Jean Dubuffet.
