The dark and diffuse collection of moving images gives an impression of the atmosphere, pain and sensitivity of the rituals. [...] Cindy Jansen is a graduate of the Academy of Visual Arts in Arnhem, Milan and the international script and director development program of the Binger Filmlab in Amsterdam. Jansen has shown her films at several national and international film festivals, including Hamburg and Rotterdam. His videos and photographs have been shown in multiple group and solo exhibitions, such as Loop 05 Barcelona, Noorderlicht Photofestival Groningen, and Gerhard Hofland Gallery, Amsterdam. From 2005 Jansen participated in the international script and director development program at the Binger Filmlab in Amsterdam. With the film script Floating, Fingergame, Sandman, she participated in the Cinemart 2008, the professional production market of the International Filmfestival Rotterdam and the Cannes Film Market. She was selected for the Berlinale Talent Campus in the same year and started to build an international network that resulted in a successful cooperation with Addie Reiss, the director of photography of Jansen's short film Come Spring. Jansen's latest film, Auld Lang Syne, premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2015.
