FRANCE Joseph LAMOTTE

Pair of flintlock pocket pistols with forced bullet. Round-bodied gooseneck locks and hammers, signed "Jh LAMOTTE". Rifled, fluted and gilded barrels, then round, unscrewable, banded, with beading at the muzzle. Calibre 7,5 mm. Barrels in drowning carved of flowers and sticks in heads of sparrows. Iron trimmings cut out. Safety under the trigger guard. Around 1780. Length of barrels: 5,3 cm - Total length: 12,5 cm. Wear to the gilding; some scratches and small chips to the wood; springs of arming of the hammers, putting back in position of the tails of trigger and safeties to be re-examined. Joseph LAMOTTE, known as the Elder one, active with Saint Etienne between 1750 and 1790.
