Book of reason of the Vallier family, of Châteauvieux, covering several generations. Period statement in ink on the first cover: "Livre de raison de Mr François David Vallier, continued by his son Mr de Chateauvieux. This book contains the foundations of masses, details on each of the children of Mr François David Vallier and an extract of the wills of the persons of the family who died before Mr de Chateauvieux with receipts for masses and for the pension of Mr Aimé Vallier in Charrière, as well as memoirs of merchants. This book was finished by Mr de Chateauvieux". Incipit: "pious intentions of our ancestors or predecessors to be followed by the heirs of the house".
