Limited edition of 125 copies Only 65,200 kilometres Versatile convertible French car registration document Chassis No.: YS3DF75CX17004991 Appeared in 1998, the Saab 9-3 is the successor to the legendary Saab 900. Built on the basis of the Opel Vectra chassis (General Motors), the all-new 9-3 has a sporty, sleek design and is available in a variety of body styles, including coupé, sedan and cabriolet. Following the example of other Nordic brands in the 1990s (mainly Volvo), Saab offers a majority of petrol engines and a single diesel engine, in keeping with its "clean" brand image of marketing vehicles that pollute less than the average. The 2.0L fuel-injected engine will be available in 130, 154 and 184 horsepower, as will its turbo version, which will also offer three power levels, 150, 185 and 205 horsepower. Before giving way to the second generation, which appeared at the end of 2002, the first version of the 9-3 will be sold in nearly 450,000 units in all versions. A few limited versions will be marketed, some of them specific to the countries in which they are sold. This is the case of the Leica edition produced in collaboration with Leica France and therefore only available in France. The model we are presenting here is the 31st of the 125 convertibles manufactured for the French market and is equipped with the 4-cylinder 2.0L turbocharged 150 hp engine. Sold new by the Saab dealer in Mulhouse in July 2001, the 9-3 Leica cabriolet is distinguished by its anthracite grey and blue leather seats with a titanium grey dashboard and a sports steering wheel. This attractive Swedish car was regularly serviced by the Saab Premium Automobiles dealer who sold the car in 2001, as evidenced by the numerous invoices in the car's historical file. These naturally accompany the owner's manuals and service book as well as all technical inspections since 2005. A Leica camera was delivered to each buyer, but we can easily understand why the owner chose to keep it. This Saab convertible is equipped with the 5-speed mechanical gearbox and has only 65,200 kilometres on the odometer. Indeed, the overall appearance of the car is excellent, the bodywork is free of scratches and bumps and the leather upholstery has been perfectly preserved. The triple-thickness soft top is impeccable and its hydro-electric control is working normally. A modern and safe car, this Saab cabriolet has all the qualities of a good, comfortable and welcoming roadster that can be used on a variety of routes between motorways and small, sunny country roads.
