Fine TABRIZ carpet woven in the famous workshop of the Master weaver HADJI-JALILI (Persia), circa 1870-80. Technical characteristics: Wool velvet on cotton foundations. Striking contrast between the floral borders and the spandrels with vegetalized accolades on one side and the plain ivory oblong field protruding from the other. Indeed, the navy and brick counterborders, as well as the ivory-corollared navy spandrels are covered with floral branches and polychrome cypresses, framing the ivory field that supports a multicoloured polylobate floral medallion, its arrowhead pendants and delicate bouquets that stand out from itself. Original graphics and bright palette. Good general condition. Dimensions: 176 x 136cm.
