Lucien Wercollier is considered one of the most important sculptors of the second half of the 20th century. He is best known for his monumental sculptures in bronze and marble. Wercollier's sculptures can be found in many collections and public museums in Luxembourg and abroad (Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris, Israel Museum in Jerusalem, Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Olympic Sculptures Parc in Seoul, Palais de l'Europe in Strasbourg...).
