In-8, red morocco, triple filet, ornate 5-nerve back, royal blue morocco lining with large lace with small irons in 18th century style, double guard, gilt edges (Thibaron-Joly). Cohen, 314 / Reynaud, 138 /// XXII-(1f.)-309-(1f.). One of Marillier's most accomplished works, illustrated with 2 frontispieces, a repeated figure, a fleuron, 99 vignettes and 99 culs-de-lampe de Marillier. Reynaud mentions two editions. Our copy contains some remarks of the reprint in the introductory leaves but the remarks of the first edition in the rest of the book. Very nice copy despite small traces of discoloration on the first plate.
