In-8, red mar., triple gilt fillet, armorial pieces at the corners, gilt arms, smooth back decorated with repeated horseshoe head armorial iron, blue silk lining and guards, gilt tr. (Rel. ép.). Title engraved by Pasquier, and double frontispiece, one representing Marie Leczinska and the other, shorter, Louis XV. On the arms of the Marquise de Gouy d'Arsy, wife of Louis de Gouy d'Arsy in 1749, named "Dame de Madame". OHR, pl. 1027. Copy quoted by Olivier. Freckles. Pronounced rubbing on the title page.
