ALMANACH NATIONAL of France, common year 1793. Paris, Testu, year II of the Republic. In-8, red mar., triple filet, with angles Phrygian cap on a spearhead, in the center, oval medallion containing the revolutionary motto "Union Force et Liberté" surmounted by a laurel wreath framing a beam of lictors surmounted by a Phrygian cap, back ornamented with lictor's bundles, golden tr. (Rel. ép.). Folding map of France divided into 84 departments. Beautiful revolutionary binding, with the rare motto "Union, Force et Liberté": one of the last maxims used, before the expression "Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité" was imposed from June 1793.
