Sandra Encaoua is a French artist born in Paris in 1974. She works and lives between Paris and Miami. Her works have been exhibited in the United States and Europe.
Sandra received a Miami Art Grant 2020 from the Andy Warhol Foundation (New York, USA). She won the 2018 Public Prize of the Wellington Art Society (USA) and was honored by the 2017 Arts-Sciences et Lettres medal of the Académie Arts-Sciences et Lettres de Paris (France).
Fascinated by nature and raw elements, she creates in her paintings a changing, violent and unfettered world. Her paintings, mainly large oils and watercolours, have a double language in which the elements are mixed, nested, superimposed until the desired and expected effect is achieved.
His Judaica series challenges and questions the viewer about Judaism, its spirituality, as well as the meaning of history and trials.
