If it is not uncommon for photographers to collaborate as a couple on one-off projects, it is more than likely that they build a work with two eyes. This is the case of Aline Diépois (Franco-Swiss, born in 1973) and Thomas Gizolme (French, born in 1967), who have been thinking, directing and producing their series together for more than ten years. For them, it is a way of being in the world and looking at it. Their photographs bear witness to the space of the relationship they build by photographing, from place to place, journey after journey. They are the authors of several books, published notably by Steidl. The Polaroids proposed here show how they play with altered or out-of-date chemistries and small defects in the manufacture of photographic chambers.
