Bears the mark of founder F. BARBEDIENNE. Foundryman,
the mechanical reduction stamp A. Collas and number 91.
It rests on a red veined marble base.
Accidents to the base.

The model for this bronze is the famous marble representing Moses by the Italian master Michelangelo made between 1513 and 1515 for the tomb of Julius II in the Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli in Rome.
The Barbedienne foundrymen started to edit this model from 1855.
