The de Menou family is a family of French nobility from the Perche region. It is said to have been known since 1055 and several generations have been knight-crossed between 1096 and 1270. Louis Joseph, count of Menou, baron de Pontchâteau was colonel of the Menou regiment, he is thus represented with his armour and the coat of arms of his family.
