SERVICE FOR THE TABLE OF THE KING LOUIS XVIII.
Gilt vermeil household goods decorated with the arms of France under the royal crown surrounded by the collars of the Order of Saint Michael and the Order of the Holy Spirit. Composed of 12 dessert forks, 16 dessert spoons, 15 teaspoons, 14 fruit knives (vermeil blades from Maison Touron) and 9 cheese knives (steel blade from Maison Grangerer with monogram H under royal crown). The set is kept in a back leather case from the House of Gustave Keller in Paris, stamped in the centre of the lid with a royal crown.
Weathered but in good general condition.
Goldsmith's mark: Jean-Charles Caillet.
Marked: 1st title, Paris, 1819-1834.
