Deed granted to the Abbey of Santa-María de Scala Dei, confirming the rights of lods and rents which
were granted to him by the kings ("todas las leudas y otras rentas reales"), and already confirmed by Ferdinand of Aragon. Founded in the eleventh century, it is located in the current municipality of La Morera de Montsant in the province of Tarragona in Spain.
Raised in Flanders, Charles V was recognized in 1516 as King of Aragon and Castile.
together with his mother (who, considered crazy, only ever had nominal power)
- the above-mentioned inscription here mentions their two names together. Charles V was about to surrender
in Spain for the first time in September 1517.
