BRAHMS Johannes (1833-1897).
L.A.S. "J.Br", [Karlsbad 28 September 1896], to Fritz SIMROCK in Berlin; 1 oblong page in-12, address overleaf (Correspondanz-Karte
); in German.
He recommends to his friend and publisher the affairs of a young Englishman, worthy of closer examination. Let the firm Simrock join it, and it will not have happened since Beethoven (as Door likes to say). That Simrock write to him that Brahms had recommended him, and how and why he should do without it for the time being. DVOŘÁK is there. Nothing new, Saturday or Sunday, Brahms thinks he'll be in
Vienna.
