Signed autograph letter addressed to René de SOLIER Rodez, November 28, 1945. 4 pages in-4 in pencil on school paper (horizontal and vertical folds). A hallucinated letter, testifying to ARTAUD's obsessions. He wants to put an end to a spell: "There is an absurd story that must come to an end. It is a story that everyone is talking about, that until a short time ago nobody wanted to confess, but that nobody now can no longer fail to recognize". He had a vision: "[...] I have seen your consciousness from afar many times, especially in a red and black hell and I don't know what you've been told, but I've helped this red and black soul to live with my breath..." He reread his poems: "...More than one heartless poet has taken your soul from the Burmese monks or the Himalayan lamas. This is what gives that compression of asphyxiation of the soul that one feels in all your sentences as a poet resigned to describe impressions because a panic has taken his bombs and this panic comes from the Christian masses of Europe and the lama rites of Tibet, not to mention the prayers to God in the belly of the streets of Paris and the slopes of Turkestan... Do something to make it stop and help me go to Tibet to make all the soul drinkers and poetry thieves give their throats back...". René de Solier, historian and art critic, was close to Antonin Artaud.
