L.A.S. "J. Brahms", [Wieden 31 March 1890], at the Musikdirektor Raphael MASZKOWSKI in Koblenz; 1 oblong page in-12, address stamped on the reverse (Correspondanz-Karte) (fold mark); in German.
He advises him to write to S. Brahms on his behalf. Kauffmann in Breslau (whose address he gives), assuring him that there they think a lot of him and that he does not have to come as a solicitor; it would only be good for him to express his desire if he really intends to do so. Perhaps he could take advantage of the holiday season to go there. Brahms apologizes for this little map, but he is about to leave for Italy.
S. Kauffmann in Breslau schreiben?
[Of Polish origin, the conductor Raphael MASZKOWSKI (1838-1901) conducted in Koblenz, before becoming in this year 1890 the director of the Breslau orchestra.].
