Opera. Basel, Andreas Cratander, 1526. In-folio, unbound, cold-stamped brown calf, sets of rollers and fillets drawing a large panel on the plates, ornate spine, gilt and chiselled edges.
Second Latin edition of the Hippocratic corpus (see previous issue).
16th century manuscript ex-libris on the title and mention of the same hand completing the printed address with that of François Regnault rue Saint-Jacques in Paris, dated 1527.
Set copy, the gilt and chiselled edges with curious motifs.
The original binding has disappeared, only the two cold-stamped leather plates carefully detached from the original binding are joined. Deterioration of paper at the lower corner of a good part of the volume (traces of wine-coloured wetness still visible). Some stains and freckles. Modern title on the spine.
