Anatomy. Tertium ad sanguinis Circulationem reformata. The Hague, Adrian Vlacq, 1660. In-8, stiff overlapping vellum (contemporary binding). Krivatsy, n°776. Frontispiece engraved by Jacob van Meurs, dated 1655 and titled Anatomia reformata, portrait of the author by Jonas Suiderhoef, 65 figures in the text and 8 folding plates engraved on copper. Thomas Bartholin (1616-1680), Danish anatomist and son of the great Caspar Bartholin, made several anatomical discoveries, notably on the milky, thoracic and lymphatic vessels. Handwritten ex-libris dated 1663 on the frontispiece: Sum ex libris Henrici Duilckenii . 1663. Modern ex-libris by Doctor P.-A. Créhange. Ancient handwritten mentions crossed out on the upper back cover, resulting in a discharge of ink on the frontispiece. Wetness on the whole volume, tear without lack repaired at 3 plates.
