PENDERMA (Asia Minor), late 19th century
A brick mihrab, vegetalized, compartmentalized in three, by two small columns supports an ivory vault with a flower bed. An impressive symbolic floral branch hangs from the ceiling. Two anthracite reserves, decorated with stylised flowers complete the ensemble. Two counter-borders with flowers frame the main one, with flower branches and coloured corollas. Highlighting with small ivory "S". (Wear and tear, restorations, as is)
