- October 7, 1929, 1 page in-4: "Thank you for your kind letter and for sending these two poems. Your name is not unknown to me and your manner is sympathetic. However, I must tell you that these poems do not seem to me sufficiently well developed";
- 30 October 1929, 1 page in-4 (torn at the bottom): "Your poems will be sent to Méridiens, but on a date that I cannot fix for the moment (we are flooded with poems), but I promise not to put your patience to too severe a test". On the back are 2 drawings of clowns.
- Tuesday", card size: "I couldn't make it to the party last night with these nice people. I fractured my left arm 10 days ago and am still bruised from a fall under the Gallimard stairs";
