Mary followed by two angels comes to meet Elisabeth accompanied by a maid. Zechariah sitting next to a dog on the porch of his house. - The Adoration of the Magi, under a blue starry sky in a landscape of ancient architecture. The Virgin Mary holding on her knees the Child Jesus blessing the Magi bringing him presents. Saint Joseph sitting in the back. Limoges, 16th-17th century. Height. 22 Width. 20 cm. (accidents, restorations). Provenance : descendant of Jean Marie-Pie Michel Claret (1805-1886), architect-decorator of Napoleon III and protégé of Baron James de Rothschild.
