VIETNAM - Early 20th century Statuette of a dignitary in carved wood, lacquered gold and polychrome, seated on a throne, the back of the left hand resting on the left knee, the right wrist resting on the right knee. Total height 71.5 cm. (small accidents and misses). Provenance: offered as a thank you by the Queen Mother to the doctor in charge of health services in Indochina for the birth of His Majesty Emperor Bao Dai in 1913. Vietnamese statuette of a dignitary in carved and lacquered wood, offered for the birth of Emperor Bao Dai in 1913 to the delivering physician.
