On the second, a beautiful gilt composition representing Sheherazade and his sister at the foot of the sultan's bed: this is a copy of Mugnerot's plate for the 1840 Thousand and One Nights bookbinding. Smooth spine decorated with a long plate, gilt edges. Superb publisher's cardboard with polychrome decoration.
