Large and fine silk Ghoum (Iran) circa 1985
Silk velvet on silk foundations. Ivory field with foliage of flowering palm branches in pastel tones decorated with a large central rosette with a crown of polychrome flowers.
Four spandrels with crowns of multicoloured flowers.
Eight borders, the main one in midnight blue with interlacing floral bulbs crenellated in twists surrounded by polychrome lace foliage.
