Wool velvet on cotton foundations. Decoration reminiscent of Caucasian carpets. Midnight blue field decorated with a very large geometric central medallion inlaid with small multicoloured floral boxes surrounded by two bevelled palmettes in the shape of very stylised heads. Light sky blue border with geometrically stylized dragons, tarantulas and hourglasses in polychrome
