Pendant in 18 carat yellow gold (750 thousandths) decorated with an intaglio on amethyst representing Apollo consoling Cyparisse after he killed the deer. According to Ovid's metamorphoses, Cyparisse then wishes to die, he asks the gods to shed eternal tears, in response to this he is transformed into cypress.
