Very rare and beautiful panel of wool and silk tapestry from the mid-18th century (circa 1750), from the Royal Manufactures of Berlin, based on the cartoons of Johann Christoff Weigel (1661-1726). Top. Height : 270 cm, Width : 330 cm. This panel of tapestry belongs to a series of tapestry hangings having for register the Landscapes and the activities of the Courts of the sovereigns of Asia. On this panel, a fisherman presenting a fish to a person standing near the Emperor of China. Another panel in the same suite on the subject of musical entertainment, from the Imperial Court, the latter being presented in the collections of Charlottemburg Castle near Berlin in Germany.
