Offered by Princess Marina PETROVNA of Russia (1892-1981), wife of Prince Alexander GALITZINE (1885-1973), to the current owner.
Pavel BUHRE (1842-1892) is a Russian watchmaker who settled in Le Locle, Switzerland, in 1874.
In 1888, he sold his company to his partners, the Swiss Georg PFUND and the Frenchman Paul GIRARD, who, after his death, kept his French name in Paul BUHRE.
In 1899, the company received the title of "Official Supplier to the Imperial Court".
