The wife of the bearded man, July 10, 1953. Turned and shaped white earthenware pitcher, polychrome engobes decoration, engraved with a knife and partially glazed. Edition of 500 numbered copies. Inscription under the base with a brush: "Edition Picasso"; stamp in hollow of the workshop and engraved mention "Edition Picasso". Painted faience pitcher with engraving; from an edition of 500 numbered. Inscription "Edition Picasso" stamp engraved under the piece. H_37,5 cm W_20,5 cm Beautiful anthropomorphic pitcher with a clear female face in a large clear oval, the mouth is fleshy, the eyes wide open, the features of a great softness. The pitcher is clearly divided into two parts, the back part being decorated on a black background with abstract motifs in green.
