STANDING ANTHROPOMORPHIC STATUE Culture Jalisco, Western Mexico Protoclassical, 100 BC-250 AD. H. Hegira 43 cm Creamy white and brick-red slip ceramic, glazed surface, and heavy scale Woman standing, arms spread apart, bare chest, breasts underlined with big nipples. She's dressed in a simple loincloth extending into two... Imposing thighs with strongly exaggerated feet. Very classic head of the Jalisco culture, with the skull ritually deformed backwards. Long nose right to the dilated nostrils framed by eyes underlined in a grain of coffee. Small mouth ajar. Presence of ears supporting buckles.
