A gilded and patinated bronze and brass milestone clock, formed of an allegory of music seeming to come out of a foliated scroll with duck heads, supporting the movement, resting on a moulded oval base with four turned legs, and adorned with a frieze of three musical trophies on a grained background, and a torus of wrapped laurel leaves. Curved dial in gilded brass centred by two nymphs framing a lyre on a pedestal, with black painted hour-markers and Roman numerals for the hours. Key-wound movement, modified spiral-wound. XIXème siècle, époque Restauration. Height: 46 cm - Width: 24.1 cm - Depth: 14.3 cm. Minor wear and tear to the patina and gilding, especially on the back of the base; a few holes and small dents on the base; no screws on the feet' axles to be revised. One wing missing.
