Important Hermes head of archaic design. It is topped with a double row of snail-like locks that fall down the back of the neck in fine wavy strands.
The beard is broad and wavy with long, very pronounced bacchantes. The eyes are almond-shaped with protruding eyelids, the lips are lipped with a slight smile.
White marble.Important tenon at the top of the head, crack at the top of the head on the left, glued back, small filling in at the moustache on the left, at the back the top of the skull is partly missing and having undergone an old restoration. Nose missing and having undergone an old restoration, splinters at the top of the skull and at the level of three locks, beard partly missing.
