Important poetic and amorous correspondence with Irène
Hamoir: 34 autograph letters, 33 of which are signed.
In the summer of 1937, René Char invites the Belgian surrealist poet Louis
Scutenaire and his wife, Irène Hamoir, to spend a few days at his home in Céreste.
From this meeting, a dazzling love affair between
René Char and Irène Hamoir was born, which lasted several months. The distance that separates the two lovers exacerbates Char's feelings: "Irène, Irène, Irène I love you. I love you, I take you inside me. I take you inside me. I take you inside me. I love you. Who's talking to you? I love you, I love you. I love you. I love you.
I love you. I love you. I love you. "
Through these letters, full of exalted lyricism, the poet also expresses himself: "I don't want to embrace you, I want your source to give my mouth all its life. I do not want there to be a sleep from which you are absent, I want the world that assails me to pass entirely through You. "
Sometimes passion reaches such a peak that it borders on jealousy: "You will answer this letter immediately, you hear.
To say that you believe in me, that you will no longer decry, that the others are finished forever. "Two telegrams, two postcards, one of which is signed, 26 envelopes, and a piece of paper tablecloth
are also bound in this album.
Magnificent and fiery correspondence where the poet expresses himself as much as
