Autograph manuscript.
Paris, December 10, 1935.
2 p. on 1 f. in-4 (26.9 x 21.1 cm).
Autograph manuscript in which Antonin Artaud traces his horoscope.
Artaud noted his surname, first name, place, date and time of birth.
He then listed the different planets of the solar system, which he associated with different pictograms.
Below, he added this comment, in the form of notes, without punctuation: "I meet 3 good aspects Moon Jupiter
Jupiter before the Moon Sun Saturn (bad) Mercury behind me Mercury Jupiter Venus Moon Sun. Moon being salient
aspect Sun in sign of Mercury". He framed the following passage: "Dissatisfied critical character. Scorpio Libra".
On the same page, a few words with no obvious connection with the horoscope, also in the form of brief notes, without punctuation: "Seen Cecile sitting twice with her back to me, she rises abruptly but goes away". "On
the back, in a more jerky writing, a few words about the Zodiac which are difficult to decipher: "Scorpio main sign", "powerful aspect".
Interesting manuscript which reveals Antonin Artaud's deep interest in esotericism and his fascination for astrology.
Traces of folds, marginal tears without affecting the text, freckles.
